More Art Stuff

This week I didn’t have any coincidental revelation about growing as an artist. It’s fun (for me at least) to notice all the things I am slowly learning along the way. From A~to starting out as artist, to B~full time artist, there are alphabets of stopping points and a million different ways any one artist gets there and hundreds of things they’ll get out of it on the way.

I’m glad I am recording my process and what I’m learning each week so you all can ride along. This week I did have a lingering thought. I can be an artist and I can make money from it. I have the time and I can grow my talent.

Some people say they can only draw stick figures and that’s ok. Some people have to work a lot of hours to support their families and that’s ok.

I am blessed to have some God given talent. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work part time and still have my needs met.

So this week I was really grateful I can fuse my time and talent. While I have the time I should use it and really see what I can do with this opportunity.

I want to dig deep into what I can do and do it! I have a few ideas that need a lot of refinement but I need to go and refine it. I’m not sure how I go about that, more sketches?, more time doing studies/mastercopies?, or time to just play around with the paint. Maybe a little of it all.

But I need to focus less on finishing one piece and starting the next random one, and focus more one building my skill set. I was gonna start a random side art piece that had little to due with the pursuit of my style; but I have decided I am going to spend my time working towards a bigger goal.

This week I just worked on my random print and did some sketches. I need to do More sketches! More finishing random projects to make time for a building of style! & More, ART!

Bye

P.S. The YouTube idea I had a couple months ago is still on the back burner
