I’ll be back. Eventually.

With having my art studio pretty much all set up now; and with more ideas of paintings than time I should be busy as a bee in one of those Dutch tulip fields. An object in motion tends to stay in motion but an object in rest tends to stay at rest. I’ve been at rest these past 6 months anolgyly speaking. I was in motion last year and I was staying in motion. I had have done some sort of painting every weekend and was finding nice time in the evenings to paint.

Getting back into motion is going to be a challenge but not nye impossible. I am grateful to have a studio and ideas and some God given talent. “An artist is not lazy” -Joe Peanut. I tell myself that when I am not wanting to wash my brushes every time or some mild speed bump that is aside from the happy little trees and satisfying blends occurs. I love making art all and all though.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not all zen and enjoyment painting; it takes a lot of mental energy and can be stressful at points. The point is I’m an artist so I need to make art! The world needs more art. Not like it needs doctors and scientists but where are we without art and music? If the artists aren’t making art we just have gray sky scrapers. I went to an estate sale this weekend and the person had so many cheap canvas prints. (Even those are art ((ish)) ) the world needs more art I say!

I have a lot of ideas and new inspirations and now is the time to act on them. This weekend I have been getting set up on my next painting. It’s gonna be a big one! I usually do around 8×10 and it’s twice the size 16 x 20 which is actually quadruple the size of an 8×10 (imagine 4 8x10s in a rectangle.) I sometimes finish an 8×10 piece in one night (and was drained afterwards) so this might take a while cause I want it to look *vary niice.

I just have to. Get. Started. Im a little intimidated and a little out of the groove having this painting being the first one of the new studio. Enough writing time to paint!

Bye
